Yesterday (Saturday) at the Lush shop in Norwich staff were dressed up as foxes and police for an event to get people protecting our countryside wildlife.

You could go into the store and have your face painted either as a fox or a badger, find out about the cause, sign and send one of the postcards or go outside of the store and listen to the buskers who were raising money for the cause. It was a lovely day and definitely made me smile to see all the staff dressed up and having fun.

Culling of badgers still goes on in a misguided attempt to combat the spread of bovine TB…. Even though the science has shown it won’t work. All it will achieve is to decimate British wildlife and could make the problem worse. I have also learnt that the coalition cancelled five of six trials of injectable vaccines. They are shooting badgers instead of using no lethal methods of disease control.

Fox hunting is banned but people around the countryside are still fox hunting illegally, with the police are ready and willing to uphold these laws but they need the funding!

On the 15th November you can vote in the police commissioners national elections. They will decide the future police funding and priorities, so make sure candidates know how strongly YOU feel about animals! Let’s ensure police forces have the funding to prevent cruelty and protect animals, use your vote to show how much you care about our wildlife.

Yesterday’s bath: Magic Ballistic (Retro). It’s the perfect mix of uplifting rose and soothing herbs (basil, marjoram, peppermint and parsley) and leaves your skin super scented! The colour changing is beautiful and turns the water into a pretty dark teal colour :) I highly recommend it!

Because we are all made of stars……

I’ve always been a big fan of Twilight bath ballistic, so when i was lucky enough to receive a bottle of limited edition shower gel from a dear friend, I was over the moon. I quickly used it up and have been pining for it ever since.

Then one magical Lush evening lo and behold I find out its back for a spell over Halloween and Christmas. I wasted no time getting my hands on a bottle and jumped in to the shower as fast as I could.

I took time to admire the deep rich purple sky that the bottle contained; turning the bottle in the light to watch the twinkle of glitter, and to ooh over the lavish streak of silver that I was convinced was the Milky Way.

A big squeeze of the bottle onto my shower scrunchie and i was ready to go. The fragrance captures you straight away, the lavender,tonke and ylang ylang mix with its malty undertones helps ease your mind and wraps a blanket of comfort around you, all the stress of the day starts to melt away and you are once again the relaxed and celestial being you started the day as.

I ended up using it twice before leaving the shower.

Another thing I love about Twilight shower gel is how soft your skin feels afterwards, it’s packed full of jojoba and benzoin oil so really helps to nourish, calm and enrich the skin. Twilight is the most perfect Autumn and Winter shower gel. And will really help those of you whose skin needs an extra bit of TLC.
